The cleanest way to leave The Venetian Macao for Hong Kong is a private car over the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge: one driver, one car, and your luggage stays loaded from the hotel door to your Hong Kong address or Hong Kong International Airport. On Mayline's approved airport route, a whole seven-seat car starts at HK$1,888 in the daytime, with tolls, tunnel and border fees included. Ferries and the bridge shuttle bus are cheaper per person, but they add ticket queues, luggage dragging and at least one extra ride on each side.
- A private car from The Venetian Macao to Hong Kong runs door to door over the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge.
- Whole seven-seat car, up to 6 passengers; the Hong Kong Airport ⇄ Macau route starts at HK$1,888 daytime.
- Nearest Hong Kong ferry port for the Cotai Strip: Taipa Ferry Terminal.
- Nationals of about 170 countries and territories enter Hong Kong visa-free for 7 to 180 days.
- Border officers decide on the day whether you stay in the car during immigration checks.
Where The Venetian Macao sits, and how the car reaches you
The Venetian Macao stands on the Cotai Strip at Estrada da Baía de N. Senhora da Esperança, s/n, Taipa — the address printed on the resort's own contact page (checked 17 October 2026). It belongs to the Sands Resorts Macao group and faces The Londoner Macao and The Parisian Macao across the resort frontage. Hotel reservations: +853 2882 8877; general inquiries: +853 2882 8888.
Every Mayline booking is a whole car with a professional driver, not a seat in a shared van. The car collects you at the resort entrance you arrange. Confirm the exact pickup point with the hotel's bell desk on arrival day, because the building has several lobby entrances along its long frontage.
The route to Hong Kong
The drive runs over the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge to the HZMB Hong Kong Port, then on to your destination in Hong Kong. The HZMB shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day (official HZMB transport page, checked 17 October 2026), so late crossings are routine; confirm late-night private-car arrangements with customer service when you book.
You clear two checks: Macau departure at the Macao Port, then Hong Kong arrival at the Hong Kong Port. Whether passengers stay in the car or walk through the hall is decided by the officers on the day — no service can promise otherwise. Passports for every traveller should be ready at the first checkpoint.
After the Hong Kong Port there is no second change. The car continues to a Kowloon or Hong Kong Island address, or straight to your airline's terminal forecourt if you are flying out.
Hong Kong city or Hong Kong International Airport?
Name your destination when you book, because the two are different journeys. A Hong Kong city address means the bridge, then the Hong Kong-side expressways into Kowloon or Hong Kong Island. Hong Kong International Airport means the car turns toward Lantau and stops at the departures or arrivals kerb. Travellers landing at the airport get a tracked flight, 60 minutes of free waiting from actual landing, and driver details on the My order page no later than 1 hour before pickup.
A third option exists for transit passengers only: Hong Kong International Airport's SkyPier Terminal connects eligible transfer passengers with the HZMB Macao Port and Zhuhai Port by transfer coach inside the airport's restricted area. Passengers who have already cleared Hong Kong immigration cannot use it. Check HKIA's current transfer-coach guidance before planning a trip that depends on it.
Ferry and bus alternatives from the Cotai Strip
Taipa Ferry Terminal is the Cotai port for Hong Kong sailings. Cotai Water Jet runs services toward Shun Tak Centre in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island; some services also call at the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. Fares and timetables change by season and sailing, so check the operator's current prices before comparing. The full trip adds a ride from The Venetian to the terminal, a ticket queue, baggage handling and a second ride on the Hong Kong side.
The bridge shuttle bus (hzmbus.com) links the HZMB ports for roughly HK$65–70 per leg. It serves only the two port buildings, so you still need a ride from The Venetian to the Macao Port and from the Hong Kong Port into the city.
The Sands resorts also operate their own shuttle and coach services whose routes and schedules change; check the current schedule on the Sands Resorts Macao website. Any shared coach is not a door-to-door car.

Border and immigration: leaving Macau, entering Hong Kong
Departing Macau and entering Hong Kong are two separate procedures. At the HZMB Macao Port, Macau border officers clear you out of Macau. At the HZMB Hong Kong Port, Hong Kong officers clear you in. Nationals of about 170 countries and territories may visit Hong Kong without a visa for 7 to 180 days depending on nationality (Hong Kong Immigration Department, checked 17 October 2026). The Immigration Department's Visit Visa / Entry Permit Requirements page lists the nationalities that must hold a visa in advance; mainland Chinese residents travel under their own entry arrangements rather than a passport waiver.
Whether passengers stay in the car at either port is decided by the officers on the day. Budget a little extra time in case your group is asked to walk through a hall.
Returning to Macau
When the Hong Kong stay ends and the car brings you back to The Venetian, Macau arrival rules apply in reverse. At the HZMB Macao Port, nationals of Macau visa-free countries may stay in the car with a valid passport. Anyone who needs a Macau visa or Entry Permit clears at the arrival hall or the on-board passenger inspection hall, then rejoins the same car. Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam passport holders need a Macau visa arranged in advance.
