Conrad Macao to Hong Kong: transfer and ferry guide

Leave Conrad Macao at The Londoner Macao for Hong Kong by private car over the HZMB, with 2026 fares, ferry and bus alternatives and border rules.

Oct 17, 2026 — 7 min read

To leave Conrad Macao for Hong Kong, the direct option is a whole private car over the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge: the driver collects you at the hotel entrance and the same car finishes at your Hong Kong address or Hong Kong International Airport. On the approved airport route the whole car starts at HK$1,888 in the daytime. Ferries and the bridge shuttle bus are cheaper per person, but each adds terminal rides, queues and luggage handling.

TL;DR
  • Conrad Macao to Hong Kong by private car: door to door over the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge.
  • Whole car, up to 6 passengers; the airport route starts at HK$1,888 daytime.
  • Conrad Macao sits inside The Londoner Macao complex on the Cotai Strip.
  • Nearest Hong Kong ferry port for Cotai: Taipa Ferry Terminal.
  • Hong Kong entry is visa-free for 7 to 180 days for most passports.

Where Conrad Macao sits

Conrad Macao is the Hilton-group hotel inside The Londoner Macao, the Sands resort at Estrada do Istmo, s/n, Cotai, Macau SAR (resort contact page, checked 17 October 2026). It shares the complex with The Londoner Hotel, Londoner Court, Londoner Grand, Paiza Grand and The St. Regis Macao. Conrad Macao inquiries: +853 2882 9000; reservations: +853 8113 6000. The hotel faces the Shoppes at Cotai Central mall on its lower levels, so the pickup door you want may be the hotel porte-cochère rather than the mall entrance — confirm with the bell desk.

A whole Mayline car collects you at the entrance you arrange. Because the complex is large, name Conrad Macao, not just The Londoner Macao, when you book.

The route to Hong Kong

The car runs to the HZMB Macao Port, crosses the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, and clears Hong Kong arrival checks at the HZMB Hong Kong Port (official HZMB transport page, checked 17 October 2026). Macau departure is cleared first at the Macao Port. The HZMB shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day; confirm late-night private-car arrangements with customer service when you book.

Two separate checks apply, and officers decide on the day whether passengers stay in the car. After the Hong Kong Port there is no second change: the car continues to Kowloon, Hong Kong Island or the airport terminal kerb.

Hong Kong city or Hong Kong International Airport?

Name the destination at booking; the two routes are quoted separately. A Hong Kong city address ends at a building in Kowloon or on Hong Kong Island. Hong Kong International Airport ends at the terminal forecourt. Airport arrivals get a tracked flight, 60 minutes of free waiting from actual landing, and driver details on the My order page no later than 1 hour before pickup.

The SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport is for transfer passengers only: eligible transit passengers reach the HZMB Macao Port and Zhuhai Port by transfer coach inside the airport's restricted area, and passengers who have already cleared Hong Kong immigration cannot use it. Check HKIA's current transfer-coach guidance.

Local connections from the hotel

Taipa Ferry Terminal is the Cotai port for Hong Kong sailings; Cotai Water Jet connects it with Shun Tak Centre in Sheung Wan and, on some services, the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, with fares and timetables that change by season and sailing (check the operator's current prices). The HZMB shuttle bus (hzmbus.com) links the bridge's two ports for HK$65 day-time or HK$70 night-time per leg (official fares, checked 17 October 2026), but serves only those port buildings.

The complex is within walking distance of Cotai West and Cotai East stations on the Macau Light Rapid Transit Taipa line, and the Sands resorts operate their own shuttle and coach services whose routes and schedules change (check the Sands Resorts Macao website).

Leaving Macau, entering Hong Kong

The procedures are separate. Macau officers clear departure at the HZMB Macao Port; Hong Kong officers clear arrival at the HZMB Hong Kong Port. Nationals of about 170 countries and territories may visit Hong Kong without a visa for 7 to 180 days (Hong Kong Immigration Department, checked 17 October 2026); the Visit Visa / Entry Permit Requirements page lists nationalities needing a visa in advance, and mainland Chinese residents travel under their own entry arrangements. Whether passengers stay in the car at either port is decided by officers on the day.

Returning to Macau

On the way back to Conrad Macao, Macau arrival rules apply in reverse. At the HZMB Macao Port, nationals of Macau visa-free countries may stay in the car with a valid passport; anyone needing a Macau visa or Entry Permit clears at the arrival hall or on-board passenger inspection hall and rejoins the same car. Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam passport holders need a Macau visa in advance.
